These come vacuum sealed. The bands are a little longer than my liking, but they would be great for thicker hair. My preference is cutting these out of the hair otherwise it does strip the hair.

These came shrink-wrapped. Once I opened the package and shook it a bit, I cuold pry apart some of the elastics.They feel like rubber bands. They look rather small, and I was afraid that strethcing them would make them break, but to their credit, they not only don't break, but stay a bit bigger, not fully reverting back to original size. This gives me more confidence in their elasticity.The are very thin, and feel very plasticky to the touch. In my hair, though, they felt okay and help up well. They didn't pinch hair even when I took it off.I do not think I would feel comfortable putting them on a baby's head though, due to how platsicky they are. No soft covering. That's not to say they don't work fine and are a great buy, I just wouldn't use them with an infant. Maybe a little girl.
