I ordered this to run my generator to my breaker panel, the indicator light is a handy touch to know if there is power being transmitted or not or if for any reason the plug is live from the panel. the construction is solid but light compared to other boxes, the lid latches tightly so I am sure its nice and weatherproof. I do like that it has the knock out in the back to completely conceal wires which others do not have. Overall a nice option for connecting a generator to a house
