I like that it is inexpensive but the quality is suspect. The cable has a balanced female xlr connection to the microphone but has an unbalanced TS male connection on the other end. It is a compact microphone with integral foam windscreen. I noticed roughness in the head basket threads and there was no isolation between the microphone housing and the capsule (it was basically rigidly mounted in the housing) so handling noise is a problem. The cable connector had spots of corrosion (please see photo) which is bad. It is a smallish microphone but is a nice weight and appears well made. The black finish appears durable and the on off switch functions as intended. The sound is thin and lacking a little in warmth but it works and doesn’t sound awful.

So far so good on this inexpensive mic. The cord is of a decent length for our needs (basement karaoke) and it sounds pretty good. It feels like a nice mic as far as weight, etc. goes. There is an on/off button on the mic handle, which I guess could accidentally be pressed if, but we haven’t had any issue with it. Hopefully it will continue to perform well for a long time.

Clean and clear sound.Overall I am very pleased with the sound and value of this microphone. A neodymium magnet gives a high output suitable for almost any input. The close "proximity effect" is very bass-heavy IMO, it is most accurate at about 2 to 4 inches away from the source(voice). I don't see it being used very well for "cupping" styles without a lot of EQing. The cardioid pickup pattern rejects off-axis noises pretty well but keep in mind it is very sensitive.
