For an inexpensive microphone, I would say this mic is good. The sound quality is what I expected - not Shure quality, but good enough to use for parties. My disappointment is that the outer shell of the mic is plastic. An aluminum shell is about what I expected, not plastic. I anticipate this mic to be functional for a few months before someone drops it and it cracks open. Also, the capsule inside of the dome of the mic is loose and will not stay in place, so it rattles when the mic is moved or shaken. Overall, not really a good value if you intend to use this mic for longer than a month.

This microphone is very lightweight and 'cheap' feeling. Toy-ish. It does work, and the sound quality is what I would expect from a karaoke-styled microphone.What discouraged me is the durability. The microphone was dropped from about 3 feet high and that was enough to but the top off. Obviously, that's not 'normal operation' of the microphone...but I would hope it would at least be able to survive a roll off a table.
