It was a inexpensive mandolin. These turners not star quality but better than what the instrument came with so I am happy with them. They hold the tune.

This tuners are worse that the ones I want to replace. Tough to turn and cheaply made.

I knew they were cheep but took a risk. They are shiny junk. The brass looking gears are just coated and started showing dramatic wear after the first couple of string ups. I was rehabbing an old mandolin and they did not make it past the new finish application stage. I tested neck set a couple of times by stringing the G and E out side strings and the gears started coming apart. They will not go back on as they are going in the garbage where they belong. The screws are also extremely cheep and a about 3 stripped out when trying to put them in the first time with a pre-drilled hole.
