Just put a cement block or two on top, I use an old wheel and tie and tie wrap it for weight. Works really good if you do this right before seeding. Great seller.

Purchased this harrow to use putting in a new lawn. The yard had been rough graded by the contractor but was full of sticks and roots. The harrow made light work of cleaning all that up and smoothing out for final grade. It really worked great, we will also use to keep driveway in good shape and repairs along roadside from snowplows.

Purchased to pull up sage brush plants that evaded being pulled up by rock rake. Adding 4"x8" timber to leading edge didn't get it laying flat; adding about 2' of chain got it laying flat. While it collects loose vegetation it still rides over and does not pull up small sage brush.

I recently used this to rake over a 3/4 mile gravel road. It really prepped it nicely and the only drawback is that if there is a lot of pine straw, or hay on your drive then it will mat up and form a pile. This isn't a negative as you just have to get off your tractor, or whatever your pulling it with and rake the pile, or kick it off your roadbed. I used my small Yanmar 22 HP in 3rd gear at 1500 rpm and it pulled with ease and worked great.Here's what I love about it:1. It really brings up the old gravel and defines your existing roadbed2. It helps level things out and smooths the ride3. It will definitely save you money over time because it really does help maintain and prep your roadbed4. I can see myself using it spring in the pastures to sort of aerate and pull out thatch prior to spring plantings5. On dirt, clays, sand and wet mushy soil it really shines and I could see anyone with horses and an arena using this weekly to level and maintain their arena's. It would also work great to prep any loose soil, help level and get it ready for seeding.

I only gave it 4 stars becasue the chain is too short. If you make a sharp turn it can get hung up in the wheel of the mower I pull it with...Simple fix though. I just added to it and it works great now! Does the job and seems to be well made.

I searched on-line and at local farm implement stores. I couldn't find a better value in quality or price than this drag harrow. Heavy duty 1/2" steel, and best of all - it was shipped for free and delivered to my door by the UPS driver. I've used it to drag my fields to remove debris and thatch, and to score the ground to plant new pasture seed.

The harrow is 48" wide (with a 42" wide bar). it can be reversed, front to back, to increase the depth of the turned soil. It can also be turned over, to smooth ground or gravel without the tines digging in. I use this with a Farmall Cub - about 10 horsepower. Does a great job. However, it weighs 110 pounds, and you need a way to transport it easily, such as loading it in the bed of an ATV or UTV, or by constructing a rack on the back of your mower, to carry it.

I bought this for smoothing out my food plot. It works great and does an amazing job of prepping my seed bed. Wish i had the extra money to buy the wider harrow but the 4 footer does a great job. I'd also like to say that it is Very Heavy Duty!! I'm sure this will last me a very long time!! Very happy with it!
