This is the large size stand that’s recommended for gongs up to 40" diameter (maximum). For ease of use, the wooden joints fit together quickly and securely so you can quickly set up and tear down without the need for screws. To mount your gong, you can use any common gong cord to hang it from the two hooks securely mounted to the top cross bar. These large, deep hooks allow your gong to sway back-and-forth and resonate freely. Ideal for meditation, yoga or sound healing therapy, this gong stand fits a variety of settings where meditative gongs/tam tams are typically played, from yoga studios, close meditation spaces or sound baths in large, wide-open rooms. Wackelig. nachdem die Schraublöcher nachgebessert wurde war es stabil, wie es sein soll. Für den Preis sollte nichts wackeln und alle Bohrlöcher akkurat sein... Jetzt ein guter Gongständer

We purchased this stand for a customer (resale) and after receipt and assembly we have been completely shocked and deeply disappointed by the poor quality in manufacturing or wood working. This is far from the former high quality standard Meinl once had. That stand was very likely made in China, quick, cheap and sloppy. The joint, which are the only points to grant the stability to this A-type stand, are so extremely poorly made, with gap as large as 3/16" or 5mm, that the whole stand moves about 2 inches sideways. We would NEVER ever hang a 32" diameter, heavy and very valuable gong in this stand! Meinl - shame on you! This is completely unacceptable. Take the stand from the market right away or put immediately a rigid quality control in place before sending this dangerous stand out to customers. We can only say: Gong stand seekers - stay away and buy a metal gong stand if you treasure your gong.
