This item is really cool, although it does not work for me. I still like it just difficult to make work right. May need more practice

These will only work on doors that are not properly installed. Any door that is properly installed and shimmed does not allow this shim to slide past the door jam. Also if you are on the side of the door where you need to use the "hook" portion of this tool you had better hope the door frame is wide enough to allow the slope on the latch to not be completely inside the strike plate because it will not slide past the full latch body.Any door with enough gap/space to use this "tool" could easily be done with a pocket knife. If you watch the videos for these tools, none of the doors are properly installed/sealed. Absolutely a waste of money, time.
