Your cart is empty. This Magnetic Dome Nut Cache is easy to attach to any metal surfaces and has the potential to be a very challenging find. This would be perfect to place on a guard rail, a pole with metal plating or any sort of structure that has a flat metal surface.

Love these magnetic containers. They make the perfect geocache. Sturdy container and good magnet. The functionality is excellent, size and weight are good. And coming in a set of four, makes them an ideal value for the money.

I bought this for to use as a geocache. It very durable and seems to be waterproof. When it’s hidden, it looks like it is supposed to be there. Also, perfect size to be able to get the log in and out of it. Slightly difficult to get the magnet off the back, but I’d rather it be too strong than too weak.****Edit****Kind of disappointed the price has gone up about $2

It’s a very good guard rail or fence HIPS cache. Magnet is strong and cache is hefty in weight. Makes it look and feel realistic. Would recommend.

These geocache containers are unusable. The lid is nothing more than a magnet. It doesn't screw in. Furthermore, the magnets have shattered on their own, simply sitting in storage, without any use. Since there is no screw in lid, once the magnets shatter on their own, the containers are unusable. This product is way overpriced for nothing more than four nuts and four magnets. Beware! Do not buy this! Go to the hardware store and buy an acorn nut and a magnet for far less. That's all it is.

I didn't realize that this cache doesn't have a screw-on lid, or a lid of any type. The magnet is the only thing keeping the log inside. Because the magnet is very strong, it tends to stay on the host, so the log falls out as you pick up the cache. The nuts are larger than I anticipated, so the size and shininess makes them stand out on the host. I've placed one and it worked ok, but for the other three I plan to paint them grey and try to place them on the underside of things (opening facing up) so that the log doesn't fall out as easily.Since there's no machining involved, the price seems high for 4 nuts and 4 magnets. I would have returned them, but I set them aside without opening the box for too long. All that being said, the quality is good as long as you know what you're paying for.

These magnetic cap nut containers were perfect for our geocaches. They are larger than I thought they would be which is great. They blend in and look genuine. The 4 pack makes these a great value.

Most of the cache containers of this type I've seen are smaller, and contain a secondary piece of hardware between the dome cap and the magnet (or have the magnet inside the bottom piece). These have a rubberish buffer on either side of the magnet, and the dome cap is fairly large. Not large enough to include much more than a tiny bead or charm in addition to the log sheet, but like I said, larger than others I've seen. The first one of these I'm going to place is walking distance from where I live, so I'm going to go ahead and use a plain photocopied log sheet in a tiny poly bag for the interior cache log. I figure I can check on it regularly. If the day to day cache use provides too much wear and tear on the bag, I might switch to one of the Write in Rain log sheets.I will say the magnets are definitely strong enough to hold either a vertical or horizontal placement of these dome caches, and they are indeed quite heavy individually. It will be interesting to see how these function in comparison to similar caches with a screw-on bottom and and O ring. I do like that they can be used in situations where a larger industrial bolt would be expected. These will definitely increase my urban camo options for geocache placements, and I am happy with the quality.
