They show up well in headlights, adding substantially to the car's existing corner reflectors. When it comes to nighttime visibility with reflectors, I find that spreading them out over more area helps a lot, and these end up about a foot away from the existing reflectors on my 4Runner, so they do a good job of making it clear that there's a large object there, and not just a couple of small lights several feet apart.
