I had to build a privacy fence at the Florida house to hide the pool pump. The soil is mostly sand and I really didn't want to dig in the tight space I had between the sidewalk and pump. Fence post anchors seemed to be the best option. These anchors go deep and I got a good workout sinking four of them into the ground. Once seated, they held solid and provided a nice anchor point for the 4x4 posts. My only nit is that I wish these had screw holes to secure the post or the bolts that are used to clamp down around the post were better designed. The bolt should seat into one side of the collar, where it won't rotate as you tighten the nut. Problem is that the bolt didn't always seat correctly and things spun around. It felt like the cut out on the anchor didn't match up well enough to the carriage bolt. Ended up using a pair of vise grips to hold the bolt in place as I tightened the nut. Not the end of the world but not what I expected either. All in all, these do the job, the posts are firmly anchored and two hours later the pool pump is now hidden from view. Worth a look but if you can find 30" deep anchors where you use set screws into the lumber to secure them, you might be better off.

Got these to use instead of cementing posts in the ground for new raised garden area. Hold up great and not terrible for installing. Takes a bit but they don'twiggle out in high winds so I know everything is secure! Lots of questions from friends/visitors on how they work and hold up and have even had some order and use for new fencing projects!

The pieces themselves are built well and feel heavy duty. We're using them to hold 7 footers and I've noticed that over time there is a little play. Ours is just to hold up a short privacy fence so no big deal. I could see this for quick installs, but I don't think these can beat cement or foam.

Easy to use. Installed all four in a half hour. Use a sacrificial piece of wood to pound them in.

Easy to install, no digging holes...no mixing concrete ..ZERO channce of your 4 x 4 rotting like they ALL do after being in the ground for just a couple of years....pressure treated or not. Fence companies hate them because anyone can put up their own 6ft woo or plastic fence in a jiffy and NO CHANCE TO ROT !!

installing a fence along alot of mature trees, digging isn't an option due to the amount of roots. Used roughly 36 of these. used a piece of a 4x4 and a hammer to start them. Tried using a sledge hammer but it was causing more damage(hard clay, roots and rocks). Ended up using a jackhammer and a special bit to drive this style of post in and it worked fantastic. I am using 8' posts which is why I went with the 36" long anchor, they do wobble alot more than a post in concrete would but considering the fact I would have risked hurting alot of trees to put this fence in I can't complain. The jackhammer method to install them is the best as the bit sits in the middle which seemed to eliminate any bending or warping of the anchor. I did have 4 of them break on me but the seller replaced those without any problem. Due to lumber prices these aren't much more than the cost of the extra 2+ ft of lumber and concrete for each pole. Only time will tell how long they last.

Bought these to install 4x4 posts. All four of them bent when about 6" from being fully seated. I went and bought the same thing (different material) from home depot and all of them went in no problem. The material is just slightly too cheap. It isn't worth the savings. The welds are sub par as well Now I'm stuck with buying two sets.
