Very sturdy, yet lightweight, with minimal assembly required. Looks great and is a great value for the money. The lock is also sturdy, which was very important. It slides easily when empty. Have not tried with files inside.

It does exactly what it should do: stores documents. It looks beautiful. It is extremely lightweight. Comes fully assembled. It is affordable. Super impressed with the filing cabinet - great quality and in perfect condition, drawers roll open so smoothly - fits perfectly in the space which is part of the reason I chose one with this depth22", and when the drawer is fully opened is 39" - an exact fit. Sure if the drawer opened about 3 inches more I would have full access to the back as some people brought up and that is the only down side but it is soooo much better than what I had there before I have no right complaining. I am grateful and accept this little bit of imperfection. By the way, I was a little worried based on some reviews people saying that their product was damaged - my advice is to take note of which seller you are buying it from and make sure they have a return policy that DOES NOT CHARGE a re-stocking fee so the seller is fully accountable for selling a quality product. And open the box carefully in case you have to return it these things are packed VERY well and to put all of that back together would be hard if you tore apart the box. I hope that helps!

As with other customers, this product and its packaging arrived heavily damaged. I was presented with a few options: (1) receive a replacement part; (2) received a 10% discount; (3) return product in its original packaging for a replacement.I opted for options 1 and 2. Most of the damage was to one drawer, and the 10% seemed like fair compensation for the lighter damage to the main structure of the product. After asking for this course of action, I was informed that I would need to repackage the product in its original packaging (which was heavily damaged, covered in oil, and VERY smelly) to be returned. Why would I need to repackage a product in its original packaging if one of the problems that I reported was that the packaging itself was heavily damaged? I don't know.The product itself seems like it would be fine if it were to arrive intact. But it will NOT be worth the hassle of putting in a lot of labor in order to repackage the damaged product.UPDATE: Seller sent a replacement unit. I had to repackage the original (damaged) unit, which was a giant hassle. The replacement unit was also damaged! I'm currently weighing my options. I will definitely not be purchasing products from Cymax ever again.

I got what I paid for and I'm not complaining. I use it in my home, therefore it doesn't get handled by a lot of people. The construction is pretty good but, of course, it came damaged with a dent on the top of it. Instead of going through all of the headaches of trying to send it back, I just leave a few magazines on top and presto ... the dent is invisible.
