Works at it should, looks way better than OEM ones. After a few years, the clears starts to turn yellowish though. But that's just having LED lights.

Bright, fit like OEM. Required partial drop of head liner to use factory connector. Removed dome light, both coat hooks, two push plugs, one seat belt, and the trim around seat belt. Had to cut the factory grommet to reuse as it was molded into the old harness, siliconed the grommet and new lens after install. Entire R/R took about 1.5 hours. Well worth the effort. You could just cut and splice the wires behind the new lens, might be faster.

This is a great replacement for my OEM part and a better price. It comes with peel and stick gasket material for a nice fit, but you need to use the same old screws. I already had my roof liner removed to replace the fabric so it was easy to remove old light and plug in new light. Nice replacement

I like the light and it is pretty bright. Installed fast but I didn't want to take roof panel off to use the connectors. So, I cut the cords and attached to original wires. It's pretty easy. Black to black, green to orange, blue/white striped to white. Closed it up and did a bead of clear roofing caulk because I have a broken trim piece. Thought it was good measure due to water coming in during rain prior.

What can I say that someone hasn’t said already? Nothing, so, I’ll just reiterate what other people have said. Well, first, it’s not plug and play. You will have to cut the wires and wire them back together with the factory ones. Not a big deal though, actually it was really simple. Someone else left a review and had already done the trial and error and listed what color goes with what color, cause the wire colors don’t match either. I’d list them again but I want you to go find his review and leave him a thumbs up, he deserves it. All and all it’s a pretty good looking product. Much nicer than the old red one the truck came with. Much much brighter too. I’m happy with it, I just wish the seller didn’t mislead folks with the OEM plug and play thing. Except for the wires it’s a perfect fit. Fast shipping, good price. I’d order from this cat again. Maybe they just don’t know wires.

I bought this to replace a bad high mount tail light/truck bed cargo light. The one that was on my truck was old, and falling apart. Couldn't even install new bulbs into it due to the connectors being dry rotted. So when I got this I went to work replacing the one that was on my truck with it. It doesn't come with a grommet like others have mentioned but if you're smart you can reuse the same grommet that was on the old light. You will want to cut it in a way that you can get it off without fully destroyed and then put it on the new light. Once you've done that you can install the light with the grommet back into the hole it came from and just seal around it some to make it sealed again. As for the light itself, it provides a great amount of light into the bed of the truck and the brake light itself can be seen quite well during the day and night.Side note, take your time installing this, you will have to pull down part of headliner, which requires removing the trim panel, and seat belts on both sides of the truck. The plug for this will be up under the headliner to the passenger side of your truck. Unplug the old and plug this right on in.

“Plug and play” is far from the correct phrase I’d use to describe the installation process. I own a 97 F150 so I am unsure if the wiring is the same across the 97-04 span, but if you own the same year then you will need to remove your headliner and/or bend it and risk creasing it. I wouldn’t blame this company for the poor design Ford chose but do believe “Plug and Play” is not correct. I lean more towards an easy install that will take time if you don’t want to risk damaging your headliner. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the product. Time will tell how it does against the harsh Texas sun but so far so good.
