I got this hand drill to make holes in resin projects as needed. The mini drill bits are quite sharp but very small and look like they would break easily if too roughly handled. The other drill bits that came with it are a bit of a mystery. They seem flat and not sharp at all, so not sure what they're supposed to be for. There are times when this will be very handy, but you do have to be able to hold the object you're drilling very steady and be able to apply a good bit of force. If you take it slow, it will got the job done, but it takes awhile.

Great value here in a precision set of drill bits for little, tiny holes. The drill itself has a nice feel and turns smoothly. The chuck is a bit stiff but works fine.Cons: It does not come with a carrying case, but the set of colored bits are very nicely packaged in their own case.

One of the drill bits was broken off or never had a drill head on it. I have no idea. Look at the photo I included. This is their photo. Notice that the tips are all broken off or never sharpened. That's exactly what I received, The 17 smallest bits have the same tips as the photo. It's these small drill bits I bought this package for. I should have paid more attention. This is 100% useless.

The pin vise works great. There was a metal shard in the jaws but once removed and the threads oiled this vise works great. It's nice that the jaws open far enough to accept the PCB drill bits which by the way are very good, nice and sharp.HOWEVER, the 25 piece micro drill bits are absolutely terrible. Some have not even been sharpened. My piece of BALSA wood (super soft) laughed at me when I tried to drill a hole with the micro bits. They are worthless.Buy this set for the pin vise and the PCB bits and immediately trash the micro drill bits. You will thank me later.

I was sort of surprised by the small size, but I guess the hands in the ad are a smaller person's hands which makes the tool look larger than it does in my big hands. The drill itself seems to be well-made. It works very well for hand-drilling holes in plastic parts (which is what I am using it for), and a nice bonus is that it easily fits in any pocket. The base freely spins, so you can seat it in the palm of your hand and easily spin the drill with your thumb and index finger. The "25 micro twist drill bits" come in a 3-compartment disposable/reuseable type of package, and "10 PCB mini drill bits" actually come in a nice non-disposable plastic case that snaps closed. My only suggestion to the company would be to make the nice non-disposable case have a small compartment in it where you could put the other 25 drill bits so that all the bits can be easily carried together in one case in your pocket. Overall, I like it. It is a nice addition to my tool chest. (Though I doubt I'll ever find a use for the smallest mini drill bit - which looks like the size of a human hair - I don't think my hand could even hold steady enough to drill anything with that ;) )

This might seem cheap at the current $8, but believe me, it's a great deal for that price -- and with a much higher quality than I was expecting for that price. These are for drilling very small holes, and there's a nice assortment of sizes. The smallest is so tiny it's almost hard to see with the naked eye.The bits are of great quality, with the handle being a little so-so, but still very workable. The handle even extends for extra length. The bits are sturdy, but because they are very small and thin, take it slow. I think they would be extremely easy to break, especially the smaller ones. There's a good range of bit sizes. The larger ones might be some you already have because they could possibly be used with an electric drill. The small ones are very small and need only to be gently turned to drill. The smallest one is so small that I haven't yet been able to think of a project where I might use it. I'm guessing Jewelry making or drilling tiny holes close to the microscopic ranges.Overall, this is unbeatable for the price and something that every DIYer will eventually need. It would be nice if it came with a kit to put everything in, but the micro bits at least have their own container to prevent them from getting damaged. Five stars.

I'm using my own metal container to hold everything provided. Forget choosing the next larger or next smaller size drill. This is not a set for precise work. You eyeball the drills and choose a drill that looks like it will make a hole about the size you need. That's true of the twist drills and the circuit board drills. The pin vise may be the saving grace of the set, reminding you not to try to drill these sizes with a variable speed rotary tool that has a chuck. Every time I have tried this with consumer grade drills, I have broken drills within a minute of drilling. You insert the drill in the chuck and power up the tool. When you look at the end of the drill as it rotates, you see the drill point making a circle rather than staying centered and that's why the drills break.
