Worked with my 1/2" hoses without a leaking issue. It is a bit of snug fit, but that should enure the hoses don't detach, which I have had issues with other connectors in the past.

My landscaper installed contractor grade Rain Bird drip irrigation tubing in my flower beds and every so often the squirrels and rabbits will chew holes in the tubing, meaning I need to repair them. The easiest way for me to do this has been to just cut the tubing and insert one of these types of couplings to reconnect the tubing to each other. The Rain Bird branded couplings are super expensive where I get them at locally. I found these as a cost effective alternative. They fit the Rain Bird drip tubing perfectly and at a much better price.
