I was skeptical if these would be durable enough to pour from my #3 crucible. Used them on 3 pours and really like them. You probably still need a set of tongs to lift the crucible out of the furnace. Good deal. I'm satisfied and recommend this combination package

The tongs are large and heavy and the crucible is too large for smaller propane smelters.However if thats what you need I say buy it.

If you buy this set of items, it's 100% worth it. Tongs are ok quality, the Crucible is top rate.HAve run this crucible through 2400 degrees plus. Still holding together, but having a bit of trouble keeping it clean of materials. You can't have enough of these. Use each for one type of melt. Mixing melts is where I run into problems cleaning. Pouring Tongs are light construction, but usable. Good starter set.100% worth it

The clamper is great! However the crucible isn’t worth it. Glad I got another crucible to use.

the tongs are 0n the light side but they work ok for light stuff

I bought this for my son that is melting pop cans in a youtube built kiln. It seems to work great He said that you need to warm it up slower. but does a great job.
