I chose well with the purchase of this product. It connects and performs successfully with my tablets, phone, and DSLR camera. All of the quality boxes are checked with this one. The durability is there, the audio quality is there, and the value is there. This is the one to choose.

I’m not exactly sure how to rate this yet. I bought it for my son’s phone because it’s hard for family members to hear him on FaceTime and I think it’s because of his case. Unfortunately it doesn’t even fit with his case on, but that’s not a huge deal cause I can buy an extender.The issue is that it won’t even work in his phone.He has an iPhone 11, so he has to use the lightning cable portion but we couldn’t get it to work.We tried it in my phone, (iPhone 15) so I use the usb c part, and it worked everytime.We took it to my family’s and I tried it in my nieces iPhone 11 and it would not work but I also think the battery may have died.So I need to charge it and figure some things out before I can definitively say whether it works or not.

I have now tested and used at least six variations of these inexpensive wireless lapel mics - and this set not only sounds the best, but it has better, smarter design features and useful accessories, despite costing half of what the other ones do!First and most importantly - sound quality. Now this is not a studio quality mic. But for $20 at time of review, it comes pretty darn close. Every other wireless lapel mic like this I have tested (and used for content creation on my Youtube channel) has suffered from what I call "Zoom Meeting Syndrome" - that tinny, compressed digital audio sound that you get when you want to reduce an audio signal to as little digital data as possible - the difference between the old format 128kb MP3s and an HQA file, for example. Audio I recorded with other wireless mics in the past required pretty substantial post-processing in Resolve to get to the point where it was even close to Youtube quality.This set doesn't do that nearly as badly - there were a few little "digital treble" chirps here and there, but they were easy to deal with and could probably be dialed out entirely in post, and my voice sounded fuller and more natural. It's really hard to say why this set works better, as I don't trust the specifications these manufacturers post at all, but waveforms don't lie - this set of mics is better than the other ones, no question about it. I got the best results with the noise reduction turned off - my audio editing software has a better noise reduction feature that I can adjust myself. Less is almost always better and more natural sounding.The mics are very sensitive to distance, but not as directional as the other ones I tested - I got the best sound out of these by clipping them to the neck of my shirt pointed straight up at my mouth. The closer to your mouth the mic is, the warmer and bassier the sound will be - get too far away and things get harsh and tinny. Annoyingly, these sounded best when held 4-5 inches away from my mouth like a full sized condenser mic - please stop doing that in videos. Please. I would rather do a little EQ tweak in editing than hold a lapel mic in front of my mouth. But again - *$20*.I tried experimenting with using both mics at once, but the two signals are mixed down to a single stereo output and I couldn't adjust their relative volume. They have to be the same distance away from the source or you get some weird natural phasing as well.So these are good enough for content creation, but there are a couple other reasons why these are better than the others I have tested. The clips are waaaaay better - these clips actually rotate! The lower-quality sets have fixed clips, which limit where you can clip them and how you can aim them. These clips work really well, despite being really huge compared to the old metal clips. Again - *$20*.Another really nice surprise was the storage bag, which contains not only a split USB-C charging cable but also a couple of windscreens if you needed to use these mics outside - small touches, sure, but none of the other mics have come with this stuff.Lastly - this could be a feature or a failure depending on how you look at it, but the receiver end looks pretty goofy with the three different adapters sticking out of it. I get that this is the best way to insure compatibility with as many devices as possible, but it would be nice to at least have some kind of rubber covers for the ones you are not using. Ideally they would be plug-in adapters - but again - *$20!!*I know this is a really long-winded review of a $20 mic set, but I have found these things to be really frustrating in the past, and am really happy to find that this set actually lives up to the potential of this sort of system. If you are recording directly to your phone, these are the single best investment you can make to improve the quality of your content - sound is so much more important than video. People will always click away from a good-looking video they can't hear clearly.

i've never owned a lav mic but have used some pretty high quality ones in the past. these mics are top notch as far as recording quality goes and i would very much recommend them to anyone not looking to make a major investment in audio equipment.i wanted to test them with my induction cooktop as i have seen other online cooks move away from induction since it can interfere with the lav mic. this did not have ANY issues with the induction burner.it was as simple as plug the base in turn on the mic, turn on the base unit and hit record in audacity.my only complaint is they do NOT have user changeable batteries in the mics or the base unit and are not able to use pass through power from a rechargeable power bank. i understand not wanting replaceable batteries that small so if they'd allow external power for once the batteries start to fail it would be great.even though i can get a full 3 to 4 hours of recording time consistently from a distance of about 25 feet through walls. so for the price these are a great first step in setting up a streaming account.

For the value, there are none better than this one.What I particularly like is the built in lightning/USB-C combo, so that I can use it both my current iPhone as well as an older one I use as a backup camera.
