Bought these because I am cheap and needed hood vents for cooling. They were functional and didnt look too bad but they are melting a little bit. Also they are pretty small. $10 so I am not too surprised.

The reason that o ordered these were to give my jeep a more aggressive look ..the looked like they were a complete square in the shape but sadly they have a angle cut on top and bottom..waisted my time and money again !!! on a item that was falsely advertised in the pictures..#First photo is what you get ....#second pic is what you think your getting....

They will work for what I got them for. But I am going to use some epoxy adhesive or some pop rivets to make sure it stays inplace. I don't think the twosided tape that comes on it would hold very long at all.

Simple vents and easy to install. I didn't use the tape that came with them as I used rivets. The value here is what makes them worth the price.

I cut the holes into the hood, and they push cold air onto the intake, they have been holding for three years now, really impressed, I was under the impression they would fall off after a month but they are still holding strong, the plastic is thin but I mean just don't sit on it? Also the tape, its still holding strong, I assume as long as there is a place for the air to go the 3m strip wont break, they fit pretty flush and I like how they accent the painters tape racing stripes.

You get what you pay for. They are small. Would be very hard to permanently mount. They will work for my intended use, so I am happy with them. I would not use them on a show car, but for my offroad Jeep ZJ, they will help get the heat out. Bigger would be better. READ THE DESCRIPTION, then judge for yourself. I would but again, but you might not.

I had an overheating problem in my 2000 Jeep XJ. I ended up cutting a hole in the front of my hood and used JB weld on these to cover it up and prevent excess water and dirt from getting in the compartment. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. I also used one inch spacers on the hood hinges to create a gap where the hood meets the windshield to allow the air to flow out the back of the compartment. So far I have had no issues with heat after installing These! The end result may not be the prettiest thing in the world, but it gets my beat up old rig down the road without overheating every 10 minutes!
