Hooked one of these up to turn on a light bulb on a pipe that always freezes when the temp gets below 28 degrees. The pipe is in the eaves so it gets the north wind and is situated so it's almost impossible to insulate. This works great and they are cheap. The only problem is you have to be handy enough to hook up a plug and cord with a socket or whatever for your application. If not you'd probably be better off with a ready to use plug-in type thermostat at three times the cost. Only has Centigrade.

The product is of very poor quality. Had to re-solder the LCD display because out of position as well as the large capacitor and also the small capacitor on the electronic circuit.

Photo shows a 120v plug on a 240 volt line that is supposedly rated for 1500 watts and the wire appears to be about 20 gauge. No way. The light bulb looks like it’s for 120 volts also. Apparently this is good for about 10 amps at any voltage. To even test it, one needs to cut an extension cord in two and splice both ends on to the very small wires coming out of the unit. No instructions and too complicated to program W/o instructions. Wasted much time and frustration trying.

I've used the 2 button version of these for years and these new 3 button versions are MUCH easier to program. Don't believe the amperage rating though, the wire is much too thin for what they claim, maybe 5a max, so down a star for that. Still great for a pet heating blanket under your LFP cells to warm them up.

Although the info suggests these are all DC, the 230V model is definitely an AC unit. I have applied it and it works great on 120v AC! Need to make sure you order the 120/230V unit. It still has a DC in the model number but it is an AC unit!

I use this on my 3D printer enclosure for high temp material like ABS. It seems to hold +/- 5 degrees C.Good enough for this application

I build a DIY solar generator and I used this to turn on/off an intake and outtake fan to assure the housing stayed cool. It works like a champ and it was really east to wire and program. There are a few Youtube videos out there that helped. It worked so well, I ordered a second one for a second build. My only negative comment is the fact that it is in Celsius. I know it's a far superior system but my brain is hardwired for Fahrenheit so I needed a cheat sheet for conversions. I also worry a little about how many watts it draws on the LED screen but I'm sure it's small.
