I got these to throw in my vehicle tie-down and lashing kit. The use would be to attach something like a ladder to my roof rack.These are heavy duty steel cables coated in nylon. The rollers and pins they are come with seem very high quality if you're intending to use them on a trailer ramp/gate.I have seen in reviews on other, identical-appearing items on Amazon that the loops pull out easily because they're not properly secured/crimped. I cannot attest to the strength of the loops but it is definitely something you need to be aware of, and I would test these before using them in any scenario where they're going to be under significant strain..Overall these seem like high quality cables and I can't wait to put them to use security items to my roof rack.

This is a direct replacement for the Gorilla Lift trailer Gate Assist system. The cables on mine had taken a beating and this came with all the parts and pieces to replace my worn out ones. Cables are vinyl coated and rollers fit right into place with new pins and clips to keep them in place. The EZ spring clips are beefier than the stock ones and made of stainless steel. This wasn't just a replacement, it was an upgrade! I highly recommend it if you need to replace or upgrade your trailer lift gate.

Both cables failed in less than four days use.Cables were looped and crimped together only by the out plastic casing, not the cable itself.
