A quick test of these shows that they work for detecting UV. A simple test of putting one of these up against my UV flood as close as possible gave readings of around 100-120 on an Arduino analog input (out of 1023). Unfortunately, the lack of component information and specifications make these a lot less useful than they could be so that has to be a star off.
