We bought an older house with overhead garage doors that sound like an earthquake is happening when you open them. Unfortunately, the remotes the owner left did not work so we got these AND they work FOR OUR 2 GARAGE DOORS. Just be careful with the remote as the two buttons are so close together you can accidentally press one, but you are pressing the other and both doors open or one door opens and one closes or whatever.

I needed to replace my outdoor garage door keypad. It has been cracked due to sun baking and was working, but was an eyesore. This device is smaller than my previous one. It's shape and style are rather sleek. I was glad to ditch the old one and replace it with this much nicer one.Most important is that it works flawlessly. Once programmed, it operates exactly as it should and is very reliable. It's worth noting that my garage door mechanism is somewhat old and does not use the rolling code method of communication. It's a Genie brand and I have programmed several in-car remotes with no problem as well.Installation was a snap. Although it comes with a set of instructions, the programming details are conveniently on the inside of the flap. It gives you three different ways to program it (through "or" statements). I chose the one I was most familiar with and it worked without a hitch. I just set up the code (following the directions on the flap). Then I punched the learn button on my garage door opener, entered the code I had just set up, and viola', it was done. It took all of 30 seconds.Installing on the outside of the garage was also a snap. It has two screws to mount it and I was able to use one from the previous keypad. Removing the old one and installing this one took more time than programming, but overall I spent only 10 or 15 minutes getting it all done. If you are good with putting a couple of screws in, you'll also have an easy time of it. The only difficulty I can imagine is if you don't have a good surface on which to mount it you might have trouble.Excellent product. Easy to program and install. Does exactly what it's supposed to do without any hassle.
