I plugged it in to my laptop that had a 2nd HDD port. Upon powering the laptop, it turned on and within seconds I smelled a electronic melting smell. I promptly powered it off and come to find out the jacket around the cable had melted and it melted my hdd port so now it's useless. How the hell does a simple hdd cable fry itself unless whomever is making these cables doesn't know what they are doing. You guy need to pull these cables now until they are inspected or completely overhaul this junk.

This 2nd hard drive cable for my laptop came on time and packed inside a small antistatic ziplock bag. It fits and works very well with my HP dv7-6c95dx laptop's newly purchased 2nd hard drive. Thanks
