Full tang. Real wood. Feels completely authentic. Fantastic purchase.

I dont think this is Damascus steel. Blade came with oxide patches.Damascus pattern does not feel like real Damascus but more like a film over the blade.Lastly, handle is not quality made and has chipped parts of wood

This is a nice sword and comes as advertised. It is Damascus steel. How do I know? I have many other Damascus swords and the metal has give and that unique ring only Damascus has when you hit it with your hand or something metallic. It has give and is not stiff like carbon steel. I compared this to 3 of my Katana swords made of the modern attempt at Damascus steel. (No one knows exactly how the ancient Damascus was made.) So that is how I know it is 99.9% likely Damascus.I don't like the strap on the scabbard. I don't like the scabbard that much at all. But the sword is great. The leather work is fine, just not how I would have done it.It is a full tang but very thin and not that strong but more than enough to be functional because of the hard walnut wood handle. How do I know? I took it apart. At this price, it is a great deal and a decent sword. At 500.00 it would not be a good buy.

only negative thing to say is the scabbard belt loop interfered with the hilt of the sword.i am in the process of fixing that myself but am very happy with the gladius itself.

Baleautiful damascus pattern. Very well balanced gladius. The wood pommel is a really nice touch! Thanks!

Sword is defective, it’s crooked on one edge of the blade, and it’s not full tang 🤦‍♂️
