It looks like a regular exercise ball, but it's not. The ball was a bit heavy and I had some trouble picking it up and throwing it, but it was perfect for my Australian Shepherd. He is a very active boy and I usually spend a lot of time wearing down his energy. With this ball, he has been chasing and driving it. It was able to play with this toy independently and got a great workout, I didn't even have to do anything! So far it showed no signs of wear, even though he had treated it very roughly. If you have a sheepdog, this toy is perfect. Just make sure you have enough space because it's pretty big.

The outer cloth porters the ball, but Doesn't last. I have a German Shepard who is very destructive, and the fact that the ball lasted more than a day impressed me. We still have it. Only needed one patch so far, but that had nothing to do with the quality of the ball. I had to go buy some heavy duty patches because none are including with the kit and I feel they should be. That is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars.

My dog loves herding balls. This one is ridiculous. What the description doesn’t state is the “inner ball” and the “cover” come separated. You have to fight to get the ball in the cover and then pray you situated it correctly to be able to inflate. The “cover” does not fit smoothly like the picture suggests. There are plenty of places for aggressive chewers to chew and destroy because it doesn’t fit properly or smoothly. There is also a zipper under a flap. One wrong turn during play, a dogs paw or nails could easily get injured.

I thought this would be more durable than the one I purchased before and it was for a few days but it is not for heavy chewers! My dog isn’t even a chewer really and he found a way to grab the zipper and rip the fabric. The fabric was extremely easy to rip once the dog makes one little puncture because it comes off in strings. For the money I was hoping for better value. You can see from my photo it was fully blown up as well, nothing else loose.

My active lab loves this big ball. It's so tough and the only toy she cannot tear up. Worth every penny.
