This is a pretty decent large diameter end mill and just what I need for my small mill/lathe combo machine. I wanted a larger end mill like this for planing rough surfaces on parts I am making. All of the components have a nice finish to them and fit together well and the carbide inserts nest tightly into the cutter head. The one thing that I did notice is that the small torque screws that hold the inserts in place are a little short and only mate with about half the threaded hole in the cutter head. Additionally one of them was slightly stripped when I installed the carbide insert and will need a longer machine screw to insure that the insert doesn't come loose. I plan to replace them all so that I get complete thread coverage on all four holes.

Quality control lacking.I really wanted to like this shelf mill. The R8 holder actually looks very well made. Finish is excellent.The cutter head, on the other hand, looks like a cheap home made tool. There are mill marks everywhere, the corners are sharp, but the worse part, and what led me to git this 2 stars is that the screws are not the right ones. They are too small, and if you try to tighten the insert with them, they will just rotate indefinitely and possibly damage the threads.I guess I'll have to try to find the proper screws at my local hardware store.
