This worked perfectly with my system. It fits well and I haven't noticed any air flow less with this filter. Price is a bit steep for the single pack so I'd buy the double pack for some savings. Build quality should have no issues lasting until its time to replace it.

I have an older HVAC system and only have one return air duct/filter in my system so the pro's recommend that I use the cheap fiberglass filters because they are less restrictive for my system. Anything higher than a MERV 5 (1 inch filters), the filter collapses due to the high negative pressure so I've been told that could lead to premature failure of my unit because it's working much harder.I never knew you could use thicker filters in place of return air grills designed for 1" filters but these work amazingly well. They've even got a foam gasket around the perimeter of the filter to ensure nothing leaks past it which is something I've never seen before. I've got pets so I really prefer to use higher MERV rating filters to control dust and dander and these 3" filters are a great way to use them for my system. They have a much greater surface area which increases flow so you can get away with using a higher MERV filter without impacting your HVAC system. The added benefit of thicker filters is that you can go longer between replacements although I will probably replace them every 2-3 months instead of the recommend 3-6 months due to me having pets.
