Neither battery will charge more than a minute or two. Why is it that finding replacement batteries that are actually worthwhile is so difficult?

Doesn’t charge as fully as the DEWALT charger. But it does charge quickly.

It works, does what it is supposed to. Only reason i dinged it a star is bc it doesn't feel quality which sketches me out when it comes to battery charging safety.

After replacing 2 Dewalt chargers in 4 years, I opted to give this one a try. It comes with 2-6Amp batteries and a dual charger. The batteries preform as well as the Dewalts and hold the charge just as long for about 1/3 of the cost. The dual charger saves me space and uses 1 less wall circuit.

For: 20v Max Battery Replacement for Dewalt 20V 6.0Ah Battery 2Pack with DCB102 Battery ChargerMy DeWalt charger is a DCB115 and the batteries are DCB205 20V XR 5AH.I was having charging issues with original DeWalt battery/charger. The batteries weren't getting to full charge. I got this about 1 year ago, batteries are stamped 2023. Cleaning the contacts seemed to help. I have been pressing the button on the battery when inserting into the charger. Even when the charger showed a solid red light it seemed they weren't fully charged - by use, not pressing the battery indicator. When left on the charger longer, they seem to charge fully. That takes time. With only 2 batteries it took several days to blow around my house and along the 800ft driveway.I needed spare batteries and a charger so I thought a dual charger would be very nice. I got this today. The batteries indicated full charge. I plugged one into the blower and went to work. It seemed the blower had more force. The battery lasted about the same as the original but had more force until it was depleted. Got the second battery. Same experience. They are being charged now.The original batteries seemed to charge overnight on the DeWalt charger. I took it inside to see if the cold mattered. I cleaned contacts on the one battery that wasn't charging with a rough piece of plastic that just fit in the battery slot. I don't have very fine Emmery boards, and an eraser won't fit. That seemed to work, the battery immediately indicated it was charging.Surprisingly, the charger wasn't dusty, even though it was in the barn for a year. But I noticed some corrosion on two of the battery bolts. So, will see how the new batteries charge on its charger. The DeWalt battery fits in this charger and indicated charging, even though on the DeWalt charger I took it off of was indicating full charge (solid light on the charger).I wonder if these new batteries have a higher output voltage. Or, did the blower have more force because the new batteries can support the current the blower needs?
