These little cardboard tubes are thicker than I expected and smooth. They're also very strong/durable. And boy, do they have a lot of uses! My imagination is running wild! I have only had them a few days, but so far, I have used them in a flower arrangement- they're great for keeping bunches of flowers together while being surrounded by other stems. I have also used them to contain my scrap yarn. Depending on the yarn ball size, these tubes fit right over the ball. I haven't done it yet, but I think these rolls/tubes would be easy to paint. You could even use a small piece of sandpaper to rough them up so the paint adheres to the surface better, without affecting their durability. If you do a lot of crafting, you may want to add these cardboard tubes to your stash. They're very versatile!

These 2” diameter, 1 3/8” high chipboard tubes are thick and strong! They’ll hold up to more permanent craft materials, like heavy duty glue, and should last much longer than the thinner cardboard. Great base for Christmas ornaments, as legs for a decorative box, sculptures, paper mache’, etc. My creative wheels are turning to use these with the kids this summer….I knocked off one star for “value”. They come to >$1 each, which seems a little high for what it is.
