I bought these to do a 11x17" poster mailing. Good heavy tubes with tight fitting plastic end caps. I had planned to tape the ends, but the plastic caps fit so tight that it was unnecessary to use tape. I did note that they are heavier than advertised. I was at 5.6oz with a single 11x17" poster printed on 80# glossy cover and a sheet of copier paper in the tube.

Several of the end caps were missing. It should have come with 40, and I only received 27 with the tubes.

Although the tubes are really sturdy I was disappointed to find out they don't fit my 12inch long posters.Normally other 2x12 inch posters tubes I buy will fit my posters even with the caps on. These ones measure [2x11.81inch] and if you place the caps the inside will become even smaller.

I ordered these mailing tubes to be used as time capsules for my first graders on leap day. While they are very sturdy, most of them have some damage to some degree, making it difficult to get the lid on. Many were so damaged they were unusable because the lid would not go on. They are very sturdy, and if not bent or broken have such great potential to be good quality.

When we opened the box, 11 out of 20 tubes were crushed on some level. The shipping box was not damaged - these were shipped to us like this!! We salvaged what we could because unfortunately we needed them ASAP - which unfortunately means we can't return these things and get our money back.

A foot long tube sounded ok, but going forward I think I'll be looking for 20 inch tubes. That's on me for not thinking things through. It's a pretty good tube. I don't know how well it will work for what I had in mind.
