It's been a while since I've bought grip tape, but this stuff was really not good. It's basically thick electric tape. Not only was there not enough tape but it constantly got stuck to itself rendering it useless about halfway through the wrap. Now I get to cut it off, throw it away and buy something else!

So this tape is basically electrical tape x 10. It is very thick but it's certainly not something you'd want to use as handlebar tape. By and large, it's a misconception to call this handlebar tape, it'll secure them but it's not good for much else.

I found this product worked great. I'm not sure it stands out among others, however no product like this really stands out because I don't use them enough. Perhaps a bike mechanic would tell a different story. I used these to re-grip my cyclocross bike and it was easy. The material seems robust enough and has a nice feel in hand. Price point this seems about on par or slightly less than you'd find at a bike shop. Installation is rather easy. Its a good product.

This listing is confusing. I thought I was getting bar tape, it's not bar tape. It's a really nice thick self fusing silicone tape, think Rescue tape or plumbers tape. It's great stuff, but not bar tape. Could you use it as bar tape? I guess. It's not very cushioned but it's pretty grippy, but I don't think it would be grippy when wet.I use this for securing the ends of my bar tape and it's great for that. I use about 5 inches of it for each side and as you wrap it you stretch it and it holds everything in place and sticks to itself. It's great stuff. When you do need to remove it, it doesn't leave a nasty residue.It appears to be about the same price as the same amount of rescue tape brand. This is a bit thicker than Rescue tape brand, but it lacks the neat tapered edges of rescue tape. I like it though.

I've had a few different brands of self fusing silicone tape and this is as good as all the other good ones. Works well, fuses solidly, and no complaints. Very nice to have two rolls included as I don't use a bunch but when I do need it I'll have it.

This is a nice self adhering, flexible, rubberized wrap. It works well at repairing sections of handlebar tape, especially at either end of the handlebar.We also used some sections on a handlebar extension for a mini Segway. The most unusual use might have been repair of an old vacuum cleaner hose with a small slice on the hose. This self-adhering tape has worked well in sealing up both the slice in the hose and over an ancient piece of duct tape with oozing old adhesive at one end of the hose. Well worth it to have this multi use self adhesive tape on hand for many repairs.

Terrible for bar tape or grip tape. There's simply not enough and it's a bit slippery if your hands are dry. For finishing tape, it also isn't the best because the tape gets thin if you stretch it. I find it best for tape to hold cables and housing in place before wrapping with dedicated bar tape.
