When using the furthest two sections of this extension pole, without even putting on a Gopro, or in my case a smartphone on a mount, just the weight of the empty tip was causing shaking all over when held horizontally. If you need the full length of this monopod while moving or just holding the handle by hand, you won't get a steady shot. I personally don't own a high ceiling studio, so I'm very happy to leave the last two sections retracted, and use the approximately 7'8" or 230cm remaining. In fact, I discovered I didn't need an updated phone from my 2019 model, as the Optical Image Stabilization(OIS), which I didn't think was working, just needed the extra space this pole allowed in my shots. I set up this selfie stick on my bike, going straight behind me at about a 45 degree angle, at about 6'9" or 202cm in extension. The video I shot was as watchable as many of the videographers I followed last year.As for the features, the one that stands out the most is the threaded metal end caps that 'nest' the double sections they hold, when in the retracted position, for partial use or storage. They fit solidly onto each other as you collapse the extension, without overtightening necessary. Each of the eight paired inner sections they released, required twisting to lock, and they only locked when fully extended, not in any partial length. Each was about a 12.5" or 32cm, but not very consistent, which isn't necessary anyway, when forced to settle on those increments. You can use the one further of the two sections in each segment, giving you enough flexibility for anything but some intense studio shot. The best comparison I can give for the feel of the carbon tubing is to a smooth bamboo. They give a sound on each other when sliding in or out as something precision, at least when new. Now will that precision feel still be there after exposure to a wind or dust storm? I'm very skeptical of using this monopod in anything but calm dry weather, but at the price, anyone wanting photos or video in adverse conditions, may find profitability just be replacing them. The removeable Gopro adapter base was absolute junk. They looked to be designing for light weight, and one rotation on-off at the same time. The threads were horrible short inside, and I thought I just got a defected one, but looking inside said otherwise. Be ready to use your own in the standard 1/4"-20 thread size. The carrying bag is a fake suede, not a tough nylon for the outdoors environment. The included wrist strap is standard.I have a folding 160cm/6.25" tripod feet set, meant for selfie sticks or smaller gimbles. I tried some pictures from an extension of about 7'/214cm straight up, with the smartphone attached, and the setup was very shaky. I'm considering buying some weighted bags, or a triple foot set with larger lengths.I wish I could give stars in half increments, but I'll stick with the perfect score for this item, despite the limitations.

I've had an Insta360 X4 camera for a little while now, and I needed a telescopic selfie stick so I tried this one. I like it, and it will do nicely, but there are a couple of drawbacks.PROS:1. The selfie stick doesn't bend much (if at all) when extended to about 7 feet with the Insta360 attached to the end of it. That is plenty enough for me.2. The rubber handle is comfortable when holding the camera. It is a long handle that enables you to hold it higher to counterbalance the weight.2. The carbon fiber is nice and light, but also strong. Time will tell if it is really durable, but I don't feel like this is garbage. The Insta360 (non-telescopic) selfie stick my camera came with is of higher quality metal, but it is also significantly more expensive to buy that in telescopic form.3. Extending the telescopic pole is easy to do and locks into place nicely when you have it where you want it.4. Comes with a soft case that will protect it from getting scratched.CONS:1. When fully extended to 10ft, it has too much bend to it with the Insta360 X4 attached to it. It looks like a fishing pole bending when it has it's line cast into the water. This doesn't bother me too much as I don't anticipate needing to extend it out that far, but even if using vertically on a tripod, I can see this thing having issues with wind when fully extended.2. Scratches very easily. Just from a few times of extending it and pushing it back in, there are scratches on it. I didn't rub it against anything. It just does that when pulling the rod in and out. The selfie stick that came with the camera doesn't scratch very easily so that is what I am comparing it to in terms of scratch resistance.3. The last part to extend on top sometimes is hard to unscrew to loosen it.I would recommend this for someone who is looking to spend less on a telescopic selfie stick than what the OEM is asking for. If there are issues with this then I will certainly come back and report them on this post.
