About this item

  • Continuous bond eliminating weak corners and air bypass
  • Ideally suited for residential, commercial or light industrial
  • Improved aerodynamics and does not reduce restriction to air flow
  • Performs best in conditions where large quantities of lint and dust are present

The Purolator P312 16X20X1 poly fiber furnace filter is ideal for residential, commercial or light industrial use and the polyester media was developed for situations where synthetic media products are required. The P312 frame is produced using post consumer materials. The unique Monobond pinch frame concept involves a one piece frame sealed to the media under heat and pressure. This construction feature produces a continuous bond of media to board around the periphery of the frame, eliminating weak corners and air bypass. The use of a high tensile strength binder increases the integrity of the seal, allowing the filter to withstand varying temperatures and humidity levels. The synthetic media used in a P312 consists if polyester filters bonded together in an interlocking pattern of tiny lint and dust traps. This configuration maximizes dust loading while minimizing resistance. P312 filters perform best in conditions where large quantities of lint and dust are present.

I was surprised by the cost but went ahead and bought them. The furnace guy recommended these, with just having a new system put in. We wanted something good. The quality is good, it was well packaged. Shipping went quick, I feel I'm breathing better because when I did change the filter it was dirtier than our old furnace filters were.

These were recommended to us by furnace guy. The permanent filters didn't let enough air through, and one of the cheap ones fell apart and was wrapped around the fan. These seem to be working very well. My husband changes once a month.

I bought a new furnace 1/10/2023, read about how insufficient filter airflow can damage a furnace, and decided to buy exact OEM air filters to match the original. Although replacing filters is suggested to take place monthly, I inspect mine and replace them when they become discolored or dirty. It's possible to clean these with a vacuum cleaner hose & soft brush and use for another month if they aren't discolored with oil, soot, etc.
