About this item

  • GET BACK RIDING FAST: If getting back on the bike as quickly as possible is your primary concern, the CO2 cartridges will amaze you. A CO2 bike pump is easy to travel with and can fully inflate a tire, allowing you to continue on your favorite adventures. With the 16g threaded cartridges, it can fill a large (26” x 1.95”) MTB tire to 40psi (2.7bar) in a single shot, 25g cylinders are perfect for 700 C x 28 mm tires to 125psi (8.6bar).
  • COMPACT AND LIGHTWEIGHT: CO2 cartridges are so light and compact, easy to carry around in your saddle bag, backpack, attached on bottle cage holes & under saddles. The CO2 cartridges are full of compressed air and can inflate flat tire in a matter of seconds with little effort. But once filling a tire with these CO2 cylinders, within 24 hours or so, replace the CO2 in the repaired tire, being a small molecule, will leak out after a day. So don't forget to pump it up before your next ride.
  • COMPATIBLE FOR ALL THREADED CO2 INFLATORS: 3/8" - 24 TPI, our CO2 Cartridges 16g / 25g have a standard 3/8" diameter thread with 24 threads per inch, so they are compatible with most brands of CO2 inflators having threaded connections. Note: Once the CO2 is released, the cartridge and inflator head will get extremely cold, so it pays to wear gloves or buy CO2 cartridges with protective sleeves to protect your hands.
  • UNIVERSALLY COMPATIBLE: Our 16-gram or 25-gram co2 cartridges are perfect for road and mountain bike tires, 16g CO2 cartridges inflate a road tire to 100 psi and a MTB tire to approx. 40psi. You can use them for inflating bicycle tires but they're also perfect for inflatable life vests that require a 25g CO2 cartridge. Note: CO2 gas is ‘not’ food grade. For safety reasons - do not screw in and store a CO2 cartridge into an inflator head until needed for operation.
  • WARNING: Never store the cartridges in or near any hot place, such as under direct sunshine, near a heat source or left in a car. Never use low quality CO2 head. Make sure the device has fully punctured the head of the cartridge. If not, or you find that the gas being released very slowly or the gas is freezing the head, discharge the gas for a few minutes until the bottle is fully empty, then dispose of properly.

  • No, the CO2 Cartridges are not refillable.

  • 25g cartridges are larger than 16g cartridges.

  • This is only the cartridge. You'll need an adapter such as the Lenzyne Twin Speed Drive CO2 Chuck. The Chuck needs to be able to adapt to both Schrader and PrestaShop Valves

Recommend well storage and protection if put inside bike bag.

  • You will need an inflator to screw the CO2 threaded cartridges into and then you can use the inflator with the cartridge to inflate a tyre with CO2 gas

These are an economical refill for self inflating life preservers. I bought a mixed box with the sizes that fit the various inflatable PFD's I have. Certainly also work with bike tire inflators (which I have two types of) but I have had mixed results using CO2 for bike flats...

Great stuff to have in your saddle bag as an emergency boost, or to set a tubeless tire on a rim without a compressor. Very reasonable, and the extra volume of the vials is always a welcome bonus.

First of all, the 25s are very hard to find at bike shops and when they are available, they are very expensive.Second, with wider tires, the 16s and 20s just don't have enough CO2 to get you through the ride. These are not for use with tires that are 28mm or smaller. You would run the risk of over filling the tire.

I mountain bike in areas where I can be miles away from my vehicle, so I carry all of the tools to fix basic issues. This includes a CO2 pump and flat repair kit, to fix a flat tire. Since you have to carry everything you want to bring, the smaller and lower weight the better so long as it works. These Kong Ming CO2 cartridges fit the bill for me, as both small and functional. I run 27.5" MTB tires tubeless, and these will fill one tire enough to get me out of trouble and back to the rig. Worst case, I also carry a tube to throw in the tire, which these have the volume to inflate. I carry the smaller 16g tubes, since they fit better in my pack. The labeled tube is the Kong and the standard silver tube is from a previous purchase. They both fit my CO2 inflator, shown connected to the old tube. The biggest difference, as mentioned by another reviewer, is thread quality. The old tube threads smoothly into the inflator, while the Kong brand take a bit more force to thread in. At first I thought I might have it cross-threaded, but it turns out the threads just are not as crisp and clean. The tube did thread in, but not until I realized it was not cross-threaded and twisted harder. This is the reason I deducted one star, but not a big enough issue I would avoid this brand.
