These are low-tech but they work well on area rugs as well as on wall-to-wall carpeting. When you figure how well they protect the rug pile, they are well worth buying.

Best option for heavy furniture on carpet. I could not find these in my local home improvement stores. A larger size would be a good option too.

I have had round carpet protectors before, but needed square this time. These are just under 4.7mm square. I have actually used them to support speakers on the carpet and by adding a foam pad inside the square, I have found them perfect and they actually look good too.Where I have a small table and the feet are slightly larger than the cups, I am going to screw them in place to stop the caster cups from sliding off.

As someone else commented (somewhere), you just can't find these in brick and mortar stores anymore, so I was very happy to find them here. Ours are working fine. I deducted one star because I think they could be a little more solid/thick/sturdy, but they are doing the job for us so far. I've got them under a couple of light pieces, a ping pong table that's pretty heavy, and a sideboard that weights a bit over 100 lbs. So far, they are doing fine.They are priced well (16 pcs for ~$10) and I would buy again at this price point.

very heavily dependent on how careful you position them, they have to be on good surface and dead flush, or they snap. The carpet of course better with these as its not a flat surface, but doesn't bounce back even with a rub either, and this is quality carpet. So a 50/50 for me

Used these under the legs if our new sofa to keep the legs of the sofa from making permanent indentations in the carpet. While sitting on the sofa you could hear the plastic teeth on the coaster breaking and by the end if the day the hardened plastic coasters had all bowed and had material failure.

I have deep carpeting where my Lazy Boy sits. I needed something to grab the carpet and not let the chair slide back. Hubby trimmed off the ridge in front and back and then screwed them onto the runners. Works beautifully. I am super pleased!
