A great amount of different sizes for the average DIYer! I am happy to add this to my tools as I have done my own automotive repairs my entire adult life and something like snap ring pliers can be very helpful. These can do external & internal snap rings by sliding the hinge of the tool down and locking it into the opposed position. The simple design of these pliers and how they pivot do create an uneven alignment of the tips. It isn't bad and the tools still work fine but this is a good example of the difference in quality compared to a set you might buy for 5x the amount. You get curved tips and straight tip pliers in the set. Some of the padded grips like to slide down so I may have to add some adhesive into them as that gets annoying to me. The tools came well oiled and the case is pretty nice with padding to help hold them in place. Good valued set.

I should have purchased this kind of kit ages ago. Instead, I made the mistake of buying individual pliers. This adds up quickly. It's far more efficient to buy this kit and get an entire range of pliers in one package. The plastic case is reasonably solid, and it indeed offers good protection. However, the pliers are unlikely to take damage as they are pretty sturdy themselves. Each individual plier is reasonably well crafted and functional. The handles aren't the biggest or thickest, but they work fine. The metal quality seems okay to me, but I'd have to really put them to the test to see.

This set pretty much has every size your gunna need. The quality is decent, if you break these, you would probably break one of the “top brand “ pliers. For the price I think the quality is fine for professional use.

This is my first kit like this. I usually just use screwdrivers and nedle nose pliers. This mades it so easy. The kit is well made and the carrying case is a nice addition. I have used them a few times now and they are working great. The kit gives me the sizes I need without having to make it work. Overall, just a good kit that works as it should .

This is not a bad set of pliers but there are some issues. The pins on these pliers are a bit on the short side and are part of the handle so if and when they wear out or break, that set of pliers becomes trash. There are a lot of pliers in this set which makes the case that they come in rather large so if and when the most used or needed pliers wear out and become useless, you will be taking up a lot of room for no reason. This is not in any way a reason not to buy them, just an observation for me where I have some limited space for tool storage. On the positive side, they do have a rough finish on the pins which reduces the chance of the ring popping off of the pins and vanishing. They also include most of the common sizes in the most needed pin angles which makes jobs quicker, especially if you need more that one size or angle on the same job. This set comes in internal snap ring mode and as usual, there are no instruction on how to convert them to external so I will provide them. As picture 1 shows, they come in internal mode which means when you squeeze the levers, the pins come together. If you take a close look at the pliers near the wing nut, you will see that there is a t shaped slot there and the pliers bolt is in the left slot. To change it to external mode, close the pliers as in picture 2. Then while pushing up on the left handle and pulling down on the right, wiggle the handles to position the bolt to the center lower slot. This will set the jaws out of alignment as seen in picture 3 which will allow them to pass each other. Then while the bolt is in the lower slot, open the handles which will cause the pins to swap positions as seen in picture 4. Then push the right handle back up to align the bolt with the upper slots and then wiggle the handles to get the bolt into the right slot and the pliers are now in external mode as shown in picture 5. This can be a bit tricky to get the bolt into the right slot but it will go and with practice, it does get easier and as seen in picture 6, when the handles are closed, the pins spread out which is external mode. To return them back to internal mode, just reverse the procedure and it's much easier to get the bolt back into the left slot. All in all, this is not what I would call a professional set of pliers but they are more than enough for the DIY'er or for the occasional need for them and at a MUCH more affordable price than a full set of pro grade pliers. The only down side is that the pins are a bit on the short side and they are a bit difficult to change modes where my professional ones have long replaceable pins and easily change modes and both of these issues takes away from this set. As with anything, buy the tool for the level of service you need it to do. If you use these constantly, this is probably not the set for you but in my case, they should work just fine.

ZUXUSE 12 pcs. Snap Ring Pliers SetThis is a very impressive set of snap-ring pliers. They are made very well, and they even look strikingly good with their teal-blue handles contrasting with the black chromium vanadium steel. One reviewer stated that the tips of his set were “not perfectly or even mostly straight,” and, as a result of reading this, I made particularly sure to examine my set. But in contrast to his set, the tips of all my pliers are indeed perfectly straight, as I checked all of them once with the naked eye and once with a large magnifying glass. There might be a quality control issue, but it sure isn’t evidenced by my set.The price point may seem high at first glance, but if you divide the price point by 12 (the total number of pliers in the set), you get $6.67, which in my book is a VERY reasonable price for a well-made pair of snap-ring pliers—much less a medium- or large-sized pair!So all in all, I believe this set to be a very good value for 12 well-made snap-ring pliers of varying sizes and varying tips. And they come in a decent blow-molded case, which could be more robust, no doubt, but will suffice for most people. But perhaps the ultimate question to ask here at the end is: Do you NEED 12 different types of snap-ring pliers? If for example you work on engines quite a bit like I do, the answer will no doubt be “yes.” Otherwise, just one or two types of snap-ring pliers might suffice. But one thing is for sure: for most of us, this particular set will undoubtedly cover 99% of your snap-ring needs.
