The metal reaches nearly the tip so it gouges what you're trying to buff. I'm so annoyed!

Bought these for jewelry polishing in tight places. The pointy part of the tip on the several I have used come off immediately which is disappointing and nearly defeats the purpose of why I purchased them. They are still useable after the tip falls off so not a complete loss.
