Just received my pair of hiems yesterday and the RH thread hiem went together perfectly despite the threads having multiple nicks in them, my LH thread tube adapter won’t thread on at all, Jam nut thread on perfectly again despite nicks in the threads. Now I have to try to source a new 1-1/4”-12 LH thread tube adapter…….. Finish quality could be betterAfter this review GenRai reached out to me and went above and beyond and made things right. Their customer service is above and beyond.

As other reviews mentioned there can be burrs on these threads. One seized solid, 4 foot pipe Ona wrench and my vise broke before I could get this back apart. On the other 3 I added a notch in the threads to clean burrs as they go and they've been solid since. I recommend doing the same before you waste a Heim

These feel good. The fact that they are made in china is about the only drawback to them, but if you want American made you need to pay more. That said, these appear on par with most joints I have used in the past. They are not the JMX style so they are not quite as tight as those, but they are not loose either.The weld in insert threads smoothly, but it is a little shorter than others I have used and I would like a little more length.The misalignment spacers are machined well enough to allow mostly full joint articulation, however comparing to some of my higher dollar ones you do lose a couple degrees of movement just because of how they bevel cut is made, the fit of the spacers in the joint is decent, not great. There is a bit of play that you don’t find in a more precision joint, but not excessive.Overall, for most users these will work perfectly. If you are going slightly overkill on the size of joint you need then using a Chinese one will not be a negative. That said, if you are already pushing the e limits of the joint size you are using, then I would probably say get the best you can, or just get bigger budget joints.As a kit though, these have everything you need and you can knock them!
