This kit has A LOT of pieces - of them, I only used the nylon coated cables with included hardware and the carabiners. The carabiners are great; the steel cables are low profile and look nice to hold the tarp over pool. The included hardware is easy to use to lengthen/shorten the cable to your needs. However, afer a good wind, I noticed the tarp had fallen in one corner. The hardware had actually cut throth the nylon coating and stripped it off causing the cable to come apart and the tarp to fall. It was an easy fix, but maybe don't overtighten the hardware?

7-19-24 This is a pretty complete kit for hanging smaller shade sails. For instance I would trust it for my 14'x14'x14' triangle, or my 8'x16' rectangle, but definitely need something more robust for my 20' x 24' rectangle. I went with this kit since I didn't need any special tool to crimp the cable since it secures with the included hardware and wrench. I was able to cut the cable with common wire cutters. At this point I'm pleased and so far has worked well on my 8'x16' rectangle in high wind dust storms in the Phoenix Arizona area. I'll report back if something changes. Hopefully my written and photo reviews are helpful, thank you!
