If you're buying these for their non-corrosive and/or lightweight properties, look elsewhere. The black body is indeed aluminum, but the silver shank/arbor is steel.This is not disclosed in the product listing. Multiple images of kayaks are included, leading one to believe these are suitable for use in water due to the non-corrosive properties of aluminum.Shame on this company for deceptive marketing.I would have paid double for all-aluminum if it was described properly.That said, these are cheap, black-bodied rivets. They work, but they are disappointing.

High quality. Be aware that these have pretty high clamping force, they are strong but probably not the best choice for soft materials without some sort of backup..
