These are 12" grab bars with knurled-textured grips in 304 stainless steel. The latter is very important because it means these should not rust or corrode over time in exposure to water. Many similar products here on Amazon are not made from this grade of stainless, so you just don't know how they will hold up over time. There really isn't a price premium for the 304 over the others, so why not get that additional measure of quality? The knurling texture on the grip surface is important if you are applying these anywhere where wet hands will be using them, the texture will provide an additional measure of safety. These come with mounting hardware, but I would never ever use drywall anchors, opting instead for locating studs and installing them properly. So, this is what you want, albeit it remains to be seen how the black finish holds up over time. Only with that in mind, I recommend these.

I installed safety bars on the sides of my shed to assist in climbing the steps onto the deck. Only thing I had at the time were standard grab bars. After being in the weather for some time, they are not holding up well and need replacing. I came across these bars and was impressed these are made for outdoors and should withstand the elements. I replaced both grab bars with these handles. Installation was pretty straightforward. Handles are solid and feel great. These are not as thick as the grab bars. These are actually more comfortable gripping than the grab bars. These should last a bit longer than the grab bars did.
