Used in replacement of the original chuck and arbor on a Rikon 12" bench drill press. The Rikon supplied chuck had a 9/1000" runout measured on a steel dowel. After fitting this CanCNC chuck the runout is below 2/1000", very good for this drill purpose. The keyless feature is very convenient. For the price, an excellent buy.

I use it on a lathe to hold a center drill and to drill a hole into a round bar. The center drill cuts the part so it will mate with a lathe live center for cutting to a finish diameter. It was larger than I thought, with excellent finish. Has worked well so far. Very good price. Time will tell.

This drill chuck has the feel and operation of a precision made tool. The heft and smoothness of it mechanism makes me want to treat it with care. I'm sure this will provides me with many years of solid dependable service.

I use this in the tailstock of my lathe for hollowing out or making threaded inserts for other lathe accessories. As long as you remember to whack it into place with the soft dead-blow (standard for anything like this) it works great and there's no chuck key to lose. Even when seated, you can spin it if you crank down on the provided chuck tool, but you really tend to use the tool to open it back up.

It seems to be very well made. I’ve used it and cut clean holes. But, honestly loosening/changing a bit is a LOT more complicated than the old Chuck Key bit holder. My two problems.1. Even though it came with a tool, I have to open the lid to hold the shaft to then loosen the chuck. There is no Reverse on my Drill Press.2. Because I have to open the top lid and stop the pulley wheel from turning (left hand) then I use the tool with my right hand to loosen the chuck. Well… what’s left to hold the bit and stoping it from a hard drop. I have to raise the table to keep the bit from dropping out. With a chuck key you loosen with the chuck and catch the bit with your other hand, done. The chuck wrench should be magnetic or be pre-drilled with a hole to put a string through to hang on the drill press. Now, if I had a chuck version of this, I would be happier.

Runs smoothly within the listed runout specs. Tightens easily by hand for most of my needs.

I bought this because I needed to drive large Forstner bits in my lathe tailstock and my old chuck kept slipping. This chuck holds them firmly and seats tight in the quill taper. It comes with a pin wrench if you need to tighten it more than hand tight, but I didn't need to use it.

Solid product from the price point. Appears to be very well made, I am a wood turner and will be using it for drilling on my lathes.

Because this is keyless, people complain there is no way to tighten and loosen the bits and even return them. Open the pulley lid and hold the pulley with your left and the chuck with your right; it works perfectly. Extra tight can be achieved using a chuck key in the same slot for removing the chuck. This chuck is suitable for machining with correct bits.

Bought another my first keyless chuck 6 months ago, looked for the cheapest 5/8 I could find.Found out it had no T.I.R. spec. Just not happy with the run out. This integrated drill chuck came exactly within the specified spec. of .003". I feel this is a sweet spot for a home drill press. If I needed any better, it would probably be better just buying a mill instead.Overall, happy I got this drill chuck. For the little more I paid to have a better specified T.I.R. makes me satisfied with my purchase.
