I had a few of this same type of MOSFET on hand that I got from SparkFun from Fairchild. I was running low as I had used several on other projects and needed more.Every single one of these that I've used has fried after being switched on/off a few times with currents as low as 200mA. I probably blew through 5 of these in a row, and then when I tested the more official ones from SparkFun, they all worked fine. These are clearly counterfit. Don't waste your money.I also had run them through one of those neat parts testers before/after failure. Before they register as a mosfet, and afterwards two low-value resistors in series. They fail closed circuit!

When I opened the package, there were only 9 MOSFETs. I was expecting 10. I didn't need 10, but I still would have preferred to have the extra since I paid for it.

When I received these I immediately tested them for basic function and they all worked. Then I tested the voltage drop on a few and calculated the R(on) resistance to be ~0.0360 using a Fluke 87V multimeter for measurement. The datasheet says R(on) should be 0.035 so given my less-than-lab-grade test setup I'm going to say that's fine and these are probably authentic.
