This wick is well constructed and holds up well with hard water. Others I have used fall apart quickly. New frames are also available. If you turn it around in frame and rinse with warm water lasts a long time, even with hard water. I use 2 per winter and humidifier runs almost constantly in colder weather. Stick to this brand, it's cheaper in the long run.
