Starting my summer baskets I was excited to try this! I thought they would be felt pads but they're not - more like a cotton material which will definitely wick into the soil better. Tossed one in the sink to test and it held water nicely. A nice alternative to plastic lining the bottom a little in coconut planters for my ferns.

I will say these were't what I was expecting. I thought they'd be more like the felt liners but these are very soft so must be cotton as advertised. There is a slight stretch and I was skeptical they'd do the job. While I haven't yet used these in my plants as I'm waiting for spring to spring here, I did run some water over one to see if it would just seep thru or if it would hold it. Surprisingly the water held quite well so I think these will do well in hanging baskets which I've avoided planting due to how fast they dry out. Definitely beats trying the diaper hack as I don't think those things ever disintegrate.

These are extremely soft cotton squares. I plan to use them in my containers this summer . I do approximately 40 pots/baskets. I will use all 20 in one go and report the results . They state they hold /retain moisture extremely well. Sounds like a plan -I 'm in.
