This is a review for 1 Pair Universal Stainless Steel Dash Rosette Rivets for GM, Ford, Chrysler, AMC VIN Door Tags. These rivets are used for a very specific purpose and if you don’t know you will probably think it unbelievable the amount they are asking for them. I suggest you contact the dealer and ask what they cost; you’ll learn quickly these are well underpriced.I have only had 2 instances in my autobody career that I have needed these but to maintain the factory look you need these. My instances both involved collisions where the VIN plate was broken off but to keep from having questions asked during a traffic stop you will only want that repair made with a stainless-steel rosette rivet just like the factory uses. These are good quality replacements and mine came perfect in their look and design. Good replacement, good quality and identical replacement parts.

I know what you're thinking, " Those cost a fortune, I'm not paying that for two rivets!"But trust me they aren't your average rivets, they have a specific useYou can buy them OEM, for about 3 times the cost of these. And they are not easily reproduced. I don't know about you, but my time is worth something, and I don't want to spend it twiddling a pair of rivets all day.Officials do look for them, so it's wise put them where they should be.I removed the shank to test the metal. It doesn't scratch easily, and it's not magnetic. So, it's definitely stainless steel. Appears just as a rose rivet should. One of mine did have a little booger on the edge, a sharp burr that sticks down and will need a quick shave to ensure the head sits flat against the plate.
