I used these to bolster the strength of our old deck posts. We have an enormous climbing rose on the pergola, so replacing the posts will be an enormous and expensive job. I'm hoping that these will extend the life of the posts.

This adjustable post sleeve was perfect fit for our 4x4 post we installed this summer to hang an automatic water house. This will help protect from rotting .self explanatory and easy to install. It function well and east to install. Looks very attractive and is durable.

Purchased for redoing our mailbox. We were pleased these metal brackets are quite sturdy and will work well for their intended purpose. My husband is thinking of other uses for the other 4 that came in the package - he plans on using 2 to support each side of the stairs we have going to the lake. There are so many things he could use these handy brackets for!

These post sleeves are somewhat mediocre quality (watch out for sharp edges), and aren't super thick, but they shouldn't be exposed to a lot of sideways stress, so they will do the job they were intended to do.

This fit my 4x4 posts fine. The diagonal slots overlap so there are two centered spots for the screws. However, this was a bit awkward to hold in place and install. The bottom spot is pretty close to the ground as well and hard to get an driver/drill low enough to put a screw in perpendicular.I highly recommend pilot holes as the provided screws strip fairly easily.If you don't need all four corners protected, you can just use two on the side you'll be weedeater on and get 3 of the 4 sides pretty well covered. The paint did scratch very easily so I don't think it will hold up to weedeater string.

This set of 4pcs will cover one 4x4 or 6x6. Or, if you only use 2pcs of this you could do two posts. The coverage is pretty good and should protect your post from your trimmer if you have shorter grass, if you are cool season and cut at the correct height, this may not do enough for you. Since they are stainless they will not rust. Comes with hardware that is probably a bit heavier duty than necessary.
