First, this is a quality spring. But...We wanted to make the tub a safer place for an elderly person to shower, so we devised an adjustable restraint with impact prevention to limit the distance one can fall, thus preventing hitting the deck and causing injury. (It starts with a curved steel pole that’s mounted above the enclosure’s center and ends with a padded and waterproof chest harness. The curve ensures safe entering/exiting, as it gets the person safely up to and over the tub’s edge.) We thought this spring would add a bit of bounce to our creation -- that is, instead of experiencing an abrupt end to the slack of our system -- just in case of a slip or fall. Alas, after getting this spring, despite its obvious quality, we’ve learned that it’s not springy enough and wouldn’t be of any discernible help. We’ll have to get something a bit more bounce-enabling. (It’s the only way to be sure.)

It serves its purpose. Very strong and can see it lasting a long time. Was somewhat easy to put on if you know what you're doing. 👌🏼😉 another great item...

Works great just like oem. Hopefully it will last longer than the oem one. Only time will tell.
