This is the original Ogon aluminum small wallet. The later versions are the V2 Standard Size and the V2 Large Size. This original version has individual pouches which can fit two cards easily but I prefer one card to a slot so that they don’t rub against one another. There is also room for cash. In the photo, there are six cards, each in its own pouch, and ten USD $1 bills folded into thirds. It closed easily as can be seen in the next photo. The other photos compares the sizes of the three versions of the Ogon wallet and the last photo compares the interior of the original and V2 standard size. There are more pouches in the original. The V2 Large version has a separate compartment where a dozen or more bills of cash can be easily stored.The original version has a plastic latch while the two later versions have aluminum latches. Also, both later versions are watertight while the original isn’t. The latch on the original can be difficult to push. I solved this problem by applying a dab of WD-40 on the inside of the latch and it has been much easier to work since then.I consider any of the three versions superior to the Ridge or other minimalist metal wallets which keep your cards tightly packed together. Over time this will damage the cards and rub off the security code or other info on the back of the cards. The Ogon wallet pouches keep your cards separated from each other and anything that might damage them over time. I have all three Ogon version and use the V2 Large as my everyday carry wallet. The others are backups.I recommend the Ogon aluminum wallets. This one, the original, is getting harder to find but it is still a good buy for the price. The plastic latch is a drawback, and may break if dropped or just wear out over time. The two updated versions will undoubtedly last much longer. But the original can still be a good option for a low priced aluminum wallet that offers RFID protection and excellent storage space.

Wish they hadn't stop making this first gen product. The new V2s are more expensive and yet fit the same number of cards.

I loved this wallet. Easy to use, kept things organized. Dropped it on the floor at the grocery store and it’s out of commission. Would have expected it to handle being dropped.

First of all, the wood design is original and stylish. I love it. Secondly, if you're considering buying one of those card wraps with the metal plates on both sides and a piece of polyurethane elastic binding it, I suggest you forget about that and get this instead. This protects your cards and your money. It's very thin and very small and those metal card carriers deteriorate quickly and fray the ends of your cards. Plus pulling cards out of those rubber bound card holders is always a hassle. This pop-open case is super easy and I love it. Definitely going with this style from now on.

I bought a couple of these type of wallets before settling on this. There are some cheaper knock-offs that mimic this, but made in China, and perhaps we cannot be too sure as to what type of metal or what type of (toxic?) impurities might be found in the cheaper off-brand China-made version of these wallets. I am suspicious that the China brands have so many reviews and all so positive. This Ögon Designs has so few reviews and so thoughtful (even critical). Is this because of the price point? Do cheaper wallets of this type really attract thousands of glowing positive reviews that are all legitimate customers? It seems odd to me. I’m concerned that Amazon is not scrutinizing the identity of some of these reviewers for the cheaper China-made knock offs. I bought 1 cheap “stainless steel” advertised version of this and it felt like tin yet it had thousands of positive reviews. I agree that with the cheaper versions you have no assurance of what types of materials are used in the manufacture. I believe paying for a branded version is the best way to go for a piece of metal that will sit in your front pants pocket all day long. Will the cards fall out if you hold the open wallet upside down or shake your hands wildly about? Yes but that is obvious if you look at the pictures. Are these negative reviews legitimate from anonymous ‘Amazon customer’? Hmmm, I wonder. If you want this type of wallet then my vote goes here to this company Ögon Designs - pay a little bit more for branded quality. Admittedly I have only owned this for a few weeks now but so far so good.

I bought the wood color to replace the metallic blue one I bought from a luggage shop 5 years ago. The click/snap lock stopped working so I bought this to replace it. Highly recommend you buy it. The hard case makes it easy to find in my purse and the slim design can fit in an evening bag as well. It also fits in the pocket of my joggers.
