Zesty Paws pill paste is a solid option. It comes in a flat package so it's good potentially for travel. The texture isn't as malleable as some other pill paste/pockets. The dogs like it just fine. I prefer the options in the jars. It's also a little inconvenient pulling it or digging it out of the pouch once you get through about 2/3 of it.

My dog loves this stuff. He has food sensitivities, and this is the only pill covering I can find that doesn’t contain chicken or rice so it’s safe for him to eat. The first time I bought it in a can at a brick and mortar store, and it was close to expiring. It was crumbly and too dry and wouldn’t form around the pill very well. This package was fresh and easy to mold to the pill (a bit greasy but not a big deal). However, the zipper seal broke when I was only halfway through the bag, so a better quality bag would be appreciated. I was concerned that my dog would find the pill and spit it out as he had already done when I tried to squish it into a bread ball or hide it in peanut butter. However, he chomped many pills down quite happily wrapped in this. When he started to get more suspicious halfway through the pills, I started mixing the wrapped pill in with his kibble along with a few “decoy” bits of pill wrap that did not contain pills. That worked! He ate the whole bowlful without hesitation.

My dogs really love this pill wrap, it makes taking their meds seem like a treat. It's not quite as easy to work with as other pill wraps I've used, but it's still completely acceptable. Zesty Paws makes quality supplements, and the ingredients list shows that. Nothing in there that shouldn't go in a dog.

I have tried several brands of pill wraps, but I am always happy to try a new one. I find these so much easier than many of the options I previously used, so I am on the constant lookout for good and affordable options. My dogs take daily medication, so I am happy to find ways to make my life easier. Overall, I find this pill wrap to be a very good option. Many products struggle to find a good balance for a texture that is easy to mold around a pill without being overly greasy. This one is slightly on the greasy side, but not too bad. Certainly not as greasy as some. It is super easy to mold around any size of pill. That is my favorite part of this kind of product because I am not wasting a bunch of product on tiny pills. The dogs seem to really like the flavor of this one and eat it with no problems. Even the picky dog is happy to eat this one. I do not love that this comes in a package instead of a jar. It is much more difficult to pull the wrap out of here than it would be with a wide mouth jar. Also, due to the fact that the product is slightly greasy, I found the ziplock feature of the pouch to stop working pretty early on. I was unable to fully seal the bag to keep it fresh. I ended up using an old jar from my previous product and putting all of the wrap in there to keep it fresh. This worked much better for me. It does seem to be a pretty good product overall though. It has pretty good ingredients and I like the addition of probiotics. The bag lists guaranteed analysis, calorie content. manufacturing information and an expiration date. My dogs did not have any negative side effects from using this product and they were happy to take their pills each day. I will consider this one as an option when I am in need of more pill wrap.

The product was literally dripping in some kind of oil that got all over my fingers - not sure if this is normal or I just got a bad bag. I did not like working with it, both because it was slippery and would not stick to the pills and because it was yucky to touch. I offered my dog a little corner to see if she would eat it and she turned up her nose at it. So it was a lose-lose at my house. My dog is extremely picky about flavor profiles, so your dog might not have the same reaction. On the plus side, my dog has a chicken allergy and this product is chicken free.

Oh my goodness, what a game changer! These are pill wraps, NOT pockets. This comes flat, and you just break off small amounts to wrap your dogs meds in! I LOVE this as my dog takes different things that are different sizes! This is so easy to work with. Just break off a piece and roll it around the pill. It almost reminds me of playing with playdough. The fact that these have probiotics in them is an added benefit. Antibiotics, and many drugs can disrupt your dogs gut, so this really helps!Zesty Paws has turned the daily chore of administering pills into a seamless and enjoyable experience for both me and my dog. The bacon flavor ensures my furry friend looks forward to “pill time,” and knowing I’m also supporting his overall health gives me peace of mind. Highly recommend this product to pet parents who want to make pill-giving easy and beneficial for their pups!
